Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) - Seven - Medium - Adult
*THIS DOG IS EXTREMELY SMALL DOG (and Small Animal ) AGGRESSIVE! SHE IS NOT FOR THE INEXPERIENCED DOG OWNER AND HAS MANY REQUIREMENTS, DO NOT PROCEED OR CONTACT US IF U CANNOT MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS!!!* Lucky Number Seven, affectionately known as "Seven", was picked up from the barn yard of a hay farmer along with her brother Mater when they were about six weeks old. They had been born there, a mix of a blue heeler Mom and coonhound dad that belonged to this farmer....and once mobile spent a lot of time in the road. Mater found a home early, but Seven resembled a dog that was getting ancient who belonged to the foster Mom and in a few it was decided that Seven would stay and become a permanent family member. It took the foster Mom nearly a year to house break and leash train Seven. Her attention span is very short and her drive to chase and hunt extremely heightened by the mixture of her bloodlines. Seven is an excellent companion, she is housebroken, walks well on a leash and loves to go camping with the family. The family includes kids over the age of 8, any younger and Seven will jump up on them and frighten them. She enjoys long naps on the sofa, and chewing fat rawhide bones. Her fave toys include an old mop head, and plastic juice jug stuffed with hard plastic balls that make a noise when u shake them. She is good for baths and toe nail trims. The older she gets tho, the more dog agressive she becomes, especially towards small dogs. She has seriously injured several of the smaller foster dogs.... Even tho Seven has been a part of the family for almost two years, she continues to fit in less. She does know basic obedience commands (sit, down, shake, off), but absolutely cannot be trusted with other dogs. Her off leash recall is awful, especially if she is after another dog. She can get along with some large dogs, as long as she is highly supervised! A home with one other dog, larger or the same size and age as her would most likely be best. She is fine with cats, as long as they dont run from her. Seven needs someone who can take her camping and hiking often, who can jog or walk with her for several miles a day. A FIVE to SIx foot privacy or chain link fenced in yard is required......invisible fence will not be considered. She also requires a home visit and vet records of previously owned pets by potential families. A commitment to do furthered professional training would also be a good idea. A lot of times dog aggresive dogs can potentially be ppl aggressive if the behaviogrs are not properly addressed. If u r truly interested in Seven , Please contact [email removed] or [email removed] Seven's $100 adoption fee includes her vaccinations for a year (rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetalla) . She is fully vetted, parasite free, and spayed. She is currently on Heart Gard and Comfortis.
